Convertible carseats are designed for children aged between 6months to approx 7 years*
They feature a six point inbuilt safety harness which is used until the child reaches 4years. The seat then converts into a booster which uses a separate harness (sold separately) or the car's inbuilt, lap sash seatbelt. This mode is suitable for children aged between 4 and 7 years plus.
This style of seat is extremely popular especially as it delivers a much higher level of safety and comfort than the conventional booster seats.
